My self-directed project was a series of low angle shots. I took pictures from ground-level in order to capture everyday things from a different perspective.
hi eli i really liked your idea, i think low angle shots are very cool. I think your editing made the photos look very dynamic. i also think you could have taken less pictures of the pavement. my favorite picture is the third one because i think the focus on the pavement line is super cool but also the car is kind of distracting. my least fave photo is the streetlight one because it is too monotone if that makes sense?? also the tree in the back is distracting. nice job eli!
The description given is very good and matches what the subject is. The pictures are all low angles, and it has a very cool effect to each one of them. Overall, I really enjoyed the photos; they are well taken and very clear. The points of focus are well pointed out, and has a very “ground” feeling to them. My favorite picture would be the second picture because it gives me the feeling of everyday life. The picture is a very basic and makes me feel like I am walking around in my neighborhood. My least favorite would be the light post piece. All of the pieces are great, but the light post feels lit it could be brighter or more colorful.
The description matched the idea represented in the photos, I really enjoy these kind of photos, my favourite is probably the 3rd photo because of the angle, although the car in the background is distracting. I like your edits! My least favourite photo is the first one because it doesn't really have one focus... The clouds? The tree? Or the light? Other than that I really liked your idea and the results that you got post edit! Good job! (:
Eli, A good idea and you explained it well. The photos are a little too predictable and safe. I like the pole photo...good composition and editing. I also like the 3rd photo which is an interesting angle on the concrete with nice shallow DOF. I'd lose the car 'butt' though. The 2nd and 4th photos don't do much for me and I feel like you could have found a few more interesting subjects rather than just do low angle streets again. Experiment more! 40/50
